Gintama

Gintama imagines a version of feudal Japan already conquered by aliens. The new order includes a public ban on swords, leaving many defeated samurai searching for a place in the changed society. Gintoki Sakata has little interest in holding a conventional day job, so he works as a freelancer and accepts whatever jobs seem likely to pay. Those assignments routinely drag him into trouble involving monsters, yakuza, alien entrepreneurs, and other hazards, with the rewards rarely matching the ordeal.
