Monster

Dr. Kenzou Tenma is a renowned brain surgeon working at a leading hospital in Germany. His career takes a decisive turn when two critically ill patients require treatment at the same time: a young boy and the town mayor. Tenma chooses to save the boy, despite pressure surrounding the mayor's financial importance to the hospital.

Soon afterward, a series of mysterious murders begins, and Tenma becomes the primary suspect even though there is no incriminating evidence against him. Further killings force him to confront the consequences of the decision that once expressed his belief that every life should be valued equally. Leaving his work as a surgeon behind, he sets out across the country to uncover the truth about the child whose life he saved.
