Baccano!

Several seemingly separate stories unfold across different times and places. In 1930s America, the transcontinental Flying Pussyfoot begins a journey marked by violence, New York scientist Szilard searches with Ennis for missing bottles of an immortality elixir, and rival mafia groups move closer to open conflict. Another thread reaches back to 1711, when alchemists aboard the Advena Avis confront the consequences of immortality. The eccentric would-be thieves Isaac and Miria cross through these overlapping events, linking people whose ambitions and actions gradually reveal that the scattered incidents belong to one larger story of alchemy, survival, and immortality.
