Youichi Tanaka

Youichi Tanaka is Kou's older brother by eight years and teaches English at Futaba's high school. Futaba initially takes an interest in him because he reminds her of Kou, not realizing the two are brothers. Youichi knows about Shuuko's crush but firmly treats her only as a student, while still helping her whenever she needs support. He also shares a playful rivalry with Aya over Shuuko and regularly gives Futaba advice about herself and Kou.
