Biography
Sanae Furukawa is Nagisa's mother and runs the Furukawa Bakery with her husband Akio. Usually childish and prone to tears, she becomes strong-willed and dependable when needed. She tutors children outside the bakery and is known for experimenting with unusual breads that never sell.
Story spoilers
In After Story, Sanae frequently supports Tomoya when Nagisa is ill, including during Nagisa's pregnancy. She was previously a junior-high teacher but left the profession because of Nagisa's health, and she later arranges Tomoya and Ushio's trip to the flower cape in hopes of reconciling them.
