Sagiri
佐切Yamada Asaemon Sagiri (山田浅ェ門佐切)
Biography
Yamada Asaemon Sagiri is the 12th-ranked Asaemon of the Yamada Clan and is assigned as Gabimaru's executioner for the expedition to Kotaku. Calm, polite and caring, she takes her duties seriously but can speak up for herself and has a sense of humor. Inspired by her father's swordsmanship, she follows the path of an executioner despite being looked down on for pursuing a samurai role as a woman.
Story spoilers
After cooperating with criminals and witnessing fellow clansmen die, Sagiri stops viewing the expedition solely through the roles of criminal and executioner, instead treating the survivors as allies who need to work together to return home.
