Proxy One is a character in Ergo Proxy.
Story spoilers
Proxy One is the series' main antagonist, is also Ergo Proxy, and calls Vincent his shadow. He is behind the events of the series, including creating Vincent, firing the thermonuclear missile Rapture, destroying Amnesia to hide Vincent's memories, and killing Donov Meyer. He is ultimately killed by Vincent's attacks and sunlight.
