Tooru is forced to turn Natsuno into a shiki, but Natsuno becomes the rare werewolf type that can endure sunlight and resists ordinary methods of killing shiki. Refusing to drink human blood, he allies with Toshio against the Kirishiki family. Near the anime's end, he tackles Tatsumi into a pit and detonates dynamite, burying both of them beneath the rubble.
