Masami Eiri is a supporting character in Serial Experiments Lain.

He is the key designer of Protocol 7 and secretly embeds code that lets him control the protocol, along with his own consciousness. Tachibana Labs fires him, and he is later found dead on a railway. He believes humans should abandon physical limits and live as digital entities, and refers to himself as "god."
