Biography
Koujirou Shinomiya owns the French restaurant Shino's and is a 79th-generation Tootsuki alumnus who once held the Elite Ten's first seat. Known as the "Legumes Magician," he builds his career around French-Japanese fusion but becomes proud and inflexible after severe conflict with staff in France.
Story spoilers
When he later returns to Tootsuki as a guest teacher, a dispute over Megumi's altered recipe leads to an unofficial Shokugeki with Souma and ultimately forces Shinomiya to reconsider his rigidity. Later, while Souma interns at Shino's Tokyo, Shinomiya's personality has softened, and he helps improve a dish that earns a place on the menu.
