Hoppered the Gauntlet
Biography
Hoppered the Gauntlet has degenerated legs enclosed in specialized armor and moves primarily with his powerful arms. His armor can spin like a top, while a shield propels him at high speed. In the anime, he is determined to make Vash suffer.
Story spoilers
In the manga, his hatred of Vash is rooted in the death of a mute and blind woman during July's destruction; the anime omits that history. During the manga's final battle, Hoppered witnesses Vash's memory of July, realizes he chose the wrong path and dies after turning against the Guns. In the anime, he is killed in an energy-core explosion.
