Cordelia Gallo

Cordelia Gallo is Victorique's mother, a former dancer from the Village of Gray Wolves. She had once worked there as a maid and was accused of a serious crime that led to her exile; Marquis de Blois later presented this past as the reason he regretted bringing Gray Wolf blood into his aristocratic line.
Story spoilers
The Marquis's account is later revealed to be false. He identified Cordelia as one of the Gray Wolf people, abducted her from her boyfriend Brian, confined her, and fathered Victorique with her. After Victorique's difficult birth he sent Cordelia to an asylum, from which Brian rescued her. Fifteen years later, Victorique discovers the true culprit behind the crime blamed on Cordelia and clears her mother's name.
