Vinland Saga

Vinland Saga follows Thorfinn, the son of a renowned Viking warrior. When his father is killed in battle by the mercenary leader Askeladd, Thorfinn dedicates himself to revenge. Rather than leave Askeladd behind, he joins the mercenary's band so he can continue challenging him to a duel and pursue the vengeance he has sworn to claim. That decision pulls Thorfinn into a conflict much larger than his personal feud, placing him in the middle of a war over the crown of England.
