Guilty Crown

Shuu Ouma lives in a Japan devastated by the Apocalypse Virus, an outbreak unleashed after a meteorite impact. Withdrawn and fearful, he tries to keep to a quiet routine. His quiet life changes when he meets Inori Yuzuriha, a famous singer whose connection to an underground resistance draws him into a much larger conflict.

Through that encounter, Shuu gains the King's Right Hand, a strange genetic ability that lets him reach into people's hearts and turn what he finds there into weapons. The power makes him valuable to opposing forces. A secretive government organization wants control of him, while Inori is tied to the rebel group Funeral Parlor. Caught between the two sides, Shuu must decide how to use an ability that could alter both his life and the struggle around him.
