Gate 2

Months after the Ginza Incident, relations between the JSDF and the Empire remain tense as peace negotiations continue inside the mysterious Special Region. Outside nations are also becoming increasingly interested in a magical realm whose civilizations appear technologically limited. Lieutenant Youji Itami must navigate that pressure while becoming entangled in the Empire's internal politics. Piña Co Lada struggles to persuade her father that the JSDF does not intend to conquer the kingdom, while competing interests on both sides of the Gate make compromise increasingly difficult. Caught between military duty and political instability, Itami is pushed toward more drastic choices in order to complete his mission.
