Blue Exorcist

The world is divided into two connected dimensions: Assiah, where humans live, and Gehenna, the realm of demons. Direct travel between them is normally impossible, but demons can enter the human world by possessing things that exist there. Satan, the god of demons, lacks a human-world vessel powerful enough to contain him and creates a son, Rin Okumura, with a human woman. Rin's existence places him at the center of Satan's plans, but his future is not predetermined. Rather than simply accepting the purpose intended for him, Rin faces the possibility of choosing a radically different path and becoming an exorcist who fights the very forces connected to his origin.
