Akame ga Kill!

Akame ga Kill! takes place in a country where a ruthless Prime Minister rules through a puppet Emperor and uses soldiers, assassins, and secret police against the population. Opposing that system is Night Raid, an elite group of killers armed with Imperial Arms, legendary weapons that possess distinctive powers. Young Tatsumi is rescued by Night Raid and offered a place among them, but joining means entering a conflict where survival is never guaranteed. Mastering an Imperial Arm is dangerous enough; facing another wielder makes every confrontation potentially lethal as Tatsumi is drawn into the resistance against the regime.
