Shouji Kawamori is an anime creator, director, scriptwriter, and mechanical designer known for work on the Macross and Transformers franchises. He helped pioneer transforming mecha and virtual-idol concepts, and his anime credits include mechanical design for Ghost in the Shell, setting assistance on Cowboy Bebop, and original creation, supervision, and series composition for Vision of Escaflowne.
