Ryoutarou Makihara is a director, storyboard artist, and animator who began at Telecom Animation Film and later worked with studios including Wit Studio and Production I.G. He made his directing debut with Hal in 2013. His later credits include directing Vampire in the Garden, The Empire of Corpses, and The Dog & The Boy, plus series composition for Vampire in the Garden.
