Ichirou Itano

Ichirou Itano is a Japanese director, producer, animator, and mechanical designer noted for science-fiction and mecha anime. He developed the dynamic aerial-combat style known as the “Itano Circus,” associated with works such as Space Runaway Ideon and The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. His directing credits include Gantz, Gantz: Second Stage, and Blassreiter.
