Akitarou Daichi is an anime director and storyboard artist who began in animation photography before moving into episode direction. He made his solo directorial debut with Nurse Angel Ririka SOS in 1995 and is known for high-tension comedy. His directing credits include Kamisama Kiss, Fruits Basket, and Now and Then, Here and There, which also credits him as original creator.
