Biography
Ziggurat-8 is a cyborg sent on a Galaxy Federation mission to retrieve the 100-series observational Realian prototype MOMO from U-TIC. After the retrieval, MOMO dislikes his official designation and nicknames him “Ziggy,” which sticks.
Story spoilers
Ninety-eight years earlier, a soldier named Jan Sauer died by suicide after his wife and stepson were killed by a terrorist. Because of the Life Recycling Act, his body was reconfigured into a cyborg by Ziggurat Industries and given the official title Ziggurat-8. During the MOMO mission, Ziggy takes MOMO to the Elsa Van Brabant. After the Elsa encounters KOS-MOS, he initially treats KOS-MOS and her companions as threats, then learns of their travails and takes them as friends.
