Story spoilers
When Yuuki temporarily loses his power, his Lost Form is a red cat. His deeper reason for working with Eden is tied to his childhood friend Makoto. After Yuuki tried to save people from a collapsed house, Makoto was gravely injured protecting him and fell into a coma, leading Shigure to blame Yuuki. In later chapters, Makoto partially regains consciousness and sends Yuuki a Morse-code message asking him to bring his friends on his next visit.
