Story spoilers
Yuugo is later revealed to be a veteran SERN operative who commands the Rounder unit in Akihabara and is involved in the search for the IBN 5100. In the Alpha world line, he also knew Suzuha under the name Hashida Suzu. The anime and visual novel diverge in the details of his end, but both involve his death; in the anime, he kills Moeka and then himself to protect Nae, while the visual novel has him take his own life after learning more about Suzuha and the time machine.
