Biography
Youko Nakajima begins as a 16-year-old honor student in Japan whose naturally red hair is her main worry. Her ordinary life changes when Keiki appears at school, swears loyalty to her, and transports her and two classmates to the kingdom of Kou after a sudden attack.
Story spoilers
Youko eventually learns that she is heir to the throne of Kei and, despite her initial reluctance, accepts becoming its queen. She grows stronger, more mature and more empathetic, and learns of problems in her kingdom, including a revolt in Wa.
