Behind that outwardly good-natured image, Yoshino can also be highly manipulative and deceitful, enough that Samon fears he may influence Hakaze to reshape the world. Hakaze eventually forces him to confront the emotions he habitually hides. In the final chapter, Yoshino passes his university entrance exam alongside Mahiro and tells Hakaze there are better men for her, though she refuses to give up on him.
