Yoshino Koharu grew up in rural Japan and moved to Tokyo for college, hoping to build a career in the city. After failing to secure a job, she receives an offer from the tourism department of Manoyama village.

As a child, Yoshino had visited the Chupakabura Kingdom and became its 100,000th visitor, briefly wearing the queen's cape and crown for the celebration.
