Biography
Wombat is a 158-year-old creature from a distant planet who comes to Earth on a mission to fill it with love. He recruits the five protagonists into becoming Battle Lovers, despite their reluctance. "Wombat" is only a nickname given because his true name is incomprehensible and his appearance resembles the animal.
Story spoilers
Passionate about spreading love, Wombat can also be absent-minded and dislikes being cuddled because his fur sheds easily. He becomes a frequent target of Yumoto's affection.
It is eventually revealed that Wombat’s mission is tied to protecting Earth's animals, humans included, from an unscrupulous reality-show scheme. He already knows the true reason the loveless monsters have returned and why the Battle Lovers were chosen, leaving the Defense Club frustrated at having been kept uninformed.
