Wataru Mitani is a fifth-grade boy who befriends Mitsuru after an incident in which older students bully Mitsuru in an abandoned warehouse. After learning about a gate to another world where wishes may come true, family troubles push Wataru to follow Mitsuru there, beginning a difficult journey accompanied by Kee Kema and Miina.
Story spoilers
As Wataru learns more about Mitsuru's actions, he chooses to confront him and eventually discovers the truth about his past.
