Vincent Valentine

Vincent later learns that Lucrecia had worked with his father, Grimoire, and was connected to the accident that killed him. After Vincent opposes Hojo's experiment involving Lucrecia's unborn child, Hojo shoots him and uses his body for metamorphosis experiments. Lucrecia later revives Vincent with stagnant Lifestream, turning him into a host for Chaos, while Protomateria restrains that form. The experiments leave Vincent able to transform into monstrous entities and keep his body physically at age twenty-seven; burdened by guilt, he eventually seals himself in a coffin beneath Shinra Manor.
