Village Chief
村長そんちょうMayor
Biography
The Village Chief leads the community around the Arakawa riverbend. He appears to be a green kappa living in a nearby pond and is the only person authorized to approve newcomers to the area. He is saddened by the discrimination he receives from humans because of his appearance.
Story spoilers
The Village Chief is actually an ordinary human wearing a kappa suit, visible from the zipper on his back. He may also be the mysterious man protecting Nino's true identity and acting as her guardian, though that connection is only suggested.
