Valkyrie Ghost
Biography
Valkyrie Ghost is the second season's main antagonist, a dark and uncomical presence who resembles Valkyrie's adult form but wears black and has purple eyes. She searches for the legendary Illustrious Lover, called the Phantom Lover in the dub, hoping to cure her eternal sadness and loneliness. Although she has no malevolent intentions at heart, she is ruthless toward anyone in her way and can fly, fire energy blasts, and create force fields.
Story spoilers
Valkyrie Ghost is not a single individual but the combined energies and emotions of four ancient missing Princesses of Valhalla who saved Valhalla from the destructive Blizzard of Time. Those princesses also created the Key of Time, which Ghost can control without holding it. She identifies Kazuto as the Illustrious Lover, later kidnaps him, and cannot apparently be killed through fighting. Valkyrie finally stops Ghost by using the Key of Time to release the emotions and energy that form her.
