Tsutomu Komano

Tsutomu Komano is an intelligent student in Chihaya's class whose test scores are second only to Taichi's. Antisocial and constantly focused on studying, he initially believes activities are worthless unless they make a person smarter.

Chihaya and Taichi convince him that karuta involves substantial strategy, leading him to join the club. He is left-handed and serves as the club's secretary and match recorder.
