Biography
Toshizou Hijikata is the Shinsengumi's second-in-command under Isami Kondou and serves as a lieutenant alongside Souji Okita. Strict but thoughtful and mature, he is particularly protective of Chizuru and shows strong respect for women. Okita's constant teasing annoys him, though their long history in the Shinsengumi seems to leave the two unusually close.
