Thoma is an enthusiastic, energetic boy who lives with his parents on Papen Island and is homeschooled by his father, who teaches him Papan Kenpo. Impulsive and quick to anger, he nevertheless has good intentions, looks out for Helga and Chitto, and feels immediately drawn to Helga.
Story spoilers
Thoma first meets Helga after she escapes from an orphanage and later helps her escape again.
