Tamao Kurei is one of Mahiro's classmates and a member of the school newspaper club. Nicknamed the “Walking Speaker,” she is noisy, loves gossip, and questions people like a reporter. She is also a close friend of Nyaruko and often gives her advice about Mahiro.

Tamao once had a crush on Mahiro, but gives up on pursuing him after Nyaruko appears.
