Biography
Tama is an android maid who works at Otose's Snack House after Gintoki first finds her as a disembodied head. Kagura gives her the name Tama, and she often visits the Yorozuya Gin-Chan to collect rent. Her limited knowledge of the outside world makes human interaction difficult, though she seems to gradually learn from the people around her.
Story spoilers
Tama was originally created by Professor Hayashi as a companion for his sickly daughter. She retains part of Fuyou's personality through an element called the Seed, which also contributes to her capacity for human emotion.
