Biography
Takuto Kaneshiro is a talented but distant young man who earns respect for his abilities despite being cold toward his peers. His girlfriend Maki's unexplained absences draw him toward a research team attempting to revive a mysterious alien biomechanical being called Frank.
Story spoilers
During the experiment, a power surge awakens Frank, destroys the facility, and kills Maki, leaving Takuto as the sole survivor. Consumed by revenge, he accepts a new identity from Mr. X and enters FUNERAL as Ryu Soma, outwardly fighting alien threats while secretly waiting for a chance to destroy Frank. His conflict deepens around Hattie, an orphan who can control Frank and strongly resembles Maki.
