Takashi Hayashida

Takashi Hayashida is a teacher at Rei's high school and an enthusiastic shogi fan who regularly reads shogi magazines. He is the only person at the school who had heard of Rei as a professional player, though he initially assumes the incoming student merely shares the same surname. Friendly with Rei, he often worries when Rei becomes lonely.
