Taichi Mashima

Taichi Mashima is Chihaya's childhood friend and a high achiever from a wealthy family. Smart, mature, and successful at nearly everything he attempts, he acts as a voice of reason in the Misusawa Karuta Club while demanding a great deal from himself as both player and leader.

His exceptional memory shapes his karuta strategy, helping him anticipate possible cards and outthink opponents. Taichi also has feelings for Chihaya but hesitates because he believes she is focused on Arata.
