Syuu Nanao
Biography
Syuu Nanao is one of Aiba's friends in the N.I.D.F. His name, pronounced “Shu,” creates a painful ambiguity because Yuno uses the same name for Aiba, toward whom she has strong feelings.
Story spoilers
After Yuno loses her memories and believes she killed “Shu,” Nanao claims to be Shu in an attempt to ease her suffering. His secret affection for Yuno drives this choice and later creates tension with Aiba as Nanao increasingly tries to become Yuno's “Shu.”
