Story spoilers
A severe shock awakens a latent Contractor-like ability that lets Suou manifest a PTRD-41 from the meteor fragment she wears, though the exact nature of the power remains unclear. She is later revealed to be a copy created through Shion's ability; the original Suou died at age five. Suou also develops feelings for Hei.
