Story spoilers
Squealer advocates freedom, equality between humans and queerats, and an end to the queens' absolute rule over queerat colonies. He helps Saki and her friends escape hostile queerats and later shelters Maria and Mamoru, but his larger goal is to obtain a human child for a revolution. By the time that child is used to attack humans, Squealer leads an alliance commanding a large force.
