Sousuke Inukawa

Sousuke Inukawa bears the "gi" bead of duty and a birthmark on his left arm. At seven, he loses both parents after his father is forced to commit seppuku and his mother dies during the ensuing winter journey from Izu. He then falls under the cruel guardianship of Hikiroku and Kamezasa, who rename him Gakuzo and force him into servitude to repay his mother's funeral debt.
