Story spoilers
Souichirou is deceased. Before his death, he supposedly created valuable software that mysteriously disappeared, drawing suspicion toward the phone he left his little sister; many believe the software may have been left to her as an uninformed inheritance. Souichirou also pushed the role of DAISY onto his friend Kurosaki and may have used some form of guilt to convince him. Kurosaki has admitted to being responsible in some unclear way for Souichirou's death.
