Sorata Arisugawa is an upbeat, irreverent teenager raised by Shingon Buddhist monks at Kōyasan. Friendly and food-loving, he is also a capable cook and persistently works his way past the initial reserve of Kamui and Arashi.
Story spoilers
Sorata is a Dragon of Heaven with powerful electrical abilities and can summon a psychically linked gohōdōji. A prophecy says he will protect Kamui with his life and die for a woman, and he decides on meeting Arashi that she will be that woman. In Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, another Sorata is married to Arashi in Hanshin and serves among the Tower faction's seven fighters in Tokyo.
