Shuurei Kou

Shuurei Kou is the 16-year-old only child of Shouka Kou, from one of Saiunkoku's two most powerful clans. Despite her prestigious lineage and title of hime, she grows up in comparatively poor circumstances without servants, becoming skilled at cooking, cleaning, and needlework. She also takes varied jobs, including performing on the erhu, bookkeeping, and teaching, to earn money.
