Story spoilers
His real name is Shoutarou, which he keeps hidden because he finds it old-fashioned. After Shou learns that Kyoko has joined L.M.E. and sees how much she has changed, it is revealed that his feelings for her run deeper than he first believed, though they are strongly colored by possessiveness.
