Shirube Asube

Shirube Asube is a rebellious second-year middle-schooler who embodies the vitality and freedom of Shinjuku. Feared as “The Holy Mother,” she exerts influence across the city, while its non-human inhabitants call her “The Heart of the City.” Whimsical, sharp-tongued, and arrogant, she moves through Shinjuku as if it were her personal amusement park and has no friends her own age. She can race effortlessly to the top of a building yet cannot break a pair of chopsticks.
