Story spoilers
Because other Momotarou dismiss his non-combat ability as limiting his prospects, Momoiwa becomes obsessed with status and turns to underhanded tactics, even endangering humans in violation of policy. He targets Shiki in hopes that killing Enki will raise his rank, manipulates Mikado and tortures Kougasaki. Kougasaki eventually kills him by slitting his throat with oni power.
